About Alan Hanson

Alan Hanson retired from Simpson Strong-Tie (structural connector manufacturer) after 24 years as Sales Manager, Training Manager, and finally Outreach Coordinator, where he oversaw activities of Simpson with various industry groups (such as the Structural Engineers Association, California Building Officials, International Code Council, Red Cross, ACE Mentor Program, Habitat for Humanity, and, most importantly, the Earthquake Country Alliance. He also coordinated Simpson’s college scholarship program. He is now the Chair of the Emergency Preparedness Team in his neighborhood.
